Biography
Born in 1932, Leo is largely self-taught. His paintings convey strong visual images using personal colour interpretations without too much intrusion from detailed drawing. A Cheshire artist, he has exhibited several times at the Paris Salon Spring exhibition, winning an award in 1974 for the painting ‘Disagreement’. He has exhibited with the Royal Institute of Oil Painters for more than 25 years and also exhibits at the Manchester Academy of Fine Arts. In 1984 Leo was elected as a member of the Royal Cambrian Academy.
